Pediatric Stem Cell Collection
Presenter: Bernadette Fay West, MD - The Children's Hospital
Bernadette West attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. This was followed by a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a Transfusion Medicine fellowship with an active Apheresis program, all in the University of Texas system. She is board-certified in all three areas. She accepted a faculty position at the University of Colorado Denver in the Department of Pathology, where she served as Associate Director of Transfusion Services at the affiliate, Children's Hospital Colorado. Most recently, she joined Belle Bonfils Memorial Blood Center as the Medical Director of Clinical Services. She is an active participant in ASCP, ASFA and other national and local professional societies and especially enjoys the challenges in the field of Apheresis.
